2. Building the Perfect Beast
by Author L Rea

This book is written in an “accumulative knowledge” format. It was also written in a manner that assumes for the most part, that the reader has read “Chemical Muscle Enhancement” which is focused upon the drugs and classical cycles that have been utilized by athletes in the past. Re-explaining this information here would be a waste of the reader’s time and perfectly happy trees. “Building The Perfect Beast (Frank N. Steroid)” is a continuance of the discussion of advanced chemical protocols begun in “Chemical Muscle Enhancement.”

To learn we must experience a subject from all angles possible.

Like its for-runners, this book is not a children’s “pop-up picture book” full of useless pictures of drugs. Instead, it is a discussion of advanced muscle chemistry techniques utilized by some of the top “big boys” in the bodybuilding world. Though intended for entertainment and discussion purposes only, I simply could not bring myself to fill it with filler pages of useless pictures.

Frank N. Steroid and Doc are purely fictional beings cloned from my imagination. In fact, they were created as a means of re-telling a tale from many individuals whom have chosen the chemically enhanced path in competitive sports. Any resemblance to a certain pro-bodybuilder or his “trainer” currently tearing up the competition world is merely coincidence. The following is a discussion of how some current competitive beasts were built. The reader must remember that this book is a story based discussion and not a guide or endorsement for this type of choice.

“Genetics are nice, but limitations can be over come to an extent most individuals have never even imagined. Even an average athlete possesses the potential for an amazing physique far beyond their dreams.”
Doc

2. Chemical Muscle Enhancement by Author L Rea

It's been 22 years since Dan Duchaine released the Underground Steroid Handbook. Not a lot has changed since then... until now.
"This man is brilliant!"
-- Dr. Ramon Scruggs, noted Hormone Replacement Physician

During the early 80’s and 90’s, there was only one true Guru, Dan Duchaine. And one of the things that made Dan an expert in the field of anabolic pharmacology was the fact that he applied his theories in the real world, working with a countless number of bodybuilders during the course of his career.

Now, anyone with a connection to the Internet and an attitude is an expert. There are so many so-called "Gurus" these days that it seems these guys spend more time fighting amongst each other than actually attempting to advance the science about which they profess to know so much. Their lives are spent in academia, extolling test tube and animal studies. The result? Misguided science, misguided protocols, and ultimately, less than stellar results for those who made the unfortunate mistake of following the advice of these armchair Gurus.

It’s time for the truth to be told. Truth that is based on over 20 years of research of every known available paper on training, nutrition, and yes…anabolic/androgenic steroids. Research that became the genesis for a career training elite athletes and bodybuilders, which is ultimately the only place where one can truly learn what works and what doesn’t.

Allow me to introduce Author L. Rea. Mr. Rea has long been considered THE authority on anabolic pharmacology in Europe, and his work is now available for the first time in the US. To say that his first work, Chemical Muscle Enhancement, is a quantum leap forward in the study of anabolic pharmacology would be an understatement. Chemical Muscle Enhancement (CME) is the equivalent of a bodybuilders "Physician's Desk Reference". Not only does CME profile hundreds of bodybuilding pharmaceuticals, many of which have never been discussed before, it does so in a fashion that has application to the greenest neophyte to the hardcore seasoned bodybuilding veteran. This is not a steroid picture pop-up book, but an in depth study in bodybuilding biochemistry. After reading CME, one walks away with the knowledge of not only how and why various bodybuilding drugs work in the body, but how to use them in the safest manner possible as well. From beginner to advanced, adult man or woman, this is the must have book for the chemically enhanced athlete who wants to realize every ounce of new muscle mass possible.

The Chemical Muscle Enhancement Desk Reference contains up to date information on the pharmaceuticals today’s bodybuilders are using to pack on more muscle and become more shredded then ever previously thought possible. Get the information on these drugs that you really need, average reported dosages, active-life of the products, possible side effects and how to avoid them, and highly detailed descriptions of how each pharmaceutical works.

On top of this, Chemical Muscle Enhancement will take you step by step thru reported steroid cycles and the pros and cons of each one. You be given drug specifics, dosing information, and on/off cycling schedules. Take the guesswork out of steroid use and save yourself a lot of wasted money, grief from side effects, and years of less than optimal results.

It’s no mystery that steroids are easily available all over the country. Getting the drugs is almost as easy as getting messed up on them. For $39.96, you can get your hands on this 223 page reference book – that’s 1/5th the cost of an office visit to the very hormone replacement doctor that endorses it! Knowledge is power and we’re putting that power in your grasp.

Did you know…

The secret of most of today’s pros simply lies in the fact that they take ENORMOUS amounts of bodybuilding pharmaceuticals. Chemical Muscle Enhancement outlines protocols that allow you to achieve the same results using a fraction of the drugs!
Knowledge is power, right? Well, knowledge is also amazing results and money saved. Think about it. What if you could buy a book for 10-25% the cost of your last cycle that would enable you to get twice the results from your next cycle just by applying the knowledge within its pages? That's right. You would be way ahead of the game on money invested and you would look like the freak you always wanted to be!
Chemical Muscle Enhancement is the only book of its kind, based on research accomplished by reviewing the blood values of thousands of athletes using bodybuilding drugs. This puts Author L. Rea in a class by himself, one of the few men on the planet that actually has taken the time to apply the information gleamed from years of scholarly study to real world situations. Let me ask you a question. If you’re going to spend your valuable dollars on an informational resource that claims to contain the secrets of the proper application of anabolic pharmacology, do you want to buy a book written by someone whose experience is limited to test tubes and studies on rats or someone whose taken his years of academic study and applied it in gyms and playing fields across the world?
If you’re currently using steroids or considering the use of steroids, you absolutely must read Chemical Muscle Enhancement. The time, money, and frustration this book will save you is priceless. If you’re willing to drop $300 on your next cycle, you’d be absolutely crazy not to spend an additional $39.96 to learn how to get the most bang for you buck and maintain your health at the same time.
The decision is yours to make….

Supreme results can only be achieved through proper application of the right information. If you’re serious about achieving your bodybuilding and physique goals, you can only do so if you’re willing to take the time to learn from the best. Chemical Muscle Enhancement is the resource you need to take it to that next level. Top amateurs and pros pay Author L. Rea $2,500 per month for his pre-contest coaching advice because he’s the best at what he does: building beasts. For a mere $39.96, you can access the same information for which these athletes pay thousands. What are you waiting for?

7. Steroids (Just the Facts)
by Sean Connolly

Grade 7 Up-These glossily attractive, generously illustrated titles are readable, frank, and informative. Connolly follows the same organizational pattern in each volume, offering definitions, history, the culture surrounding the drug, symptoms of abuse, bad effects of the drug, and recovery issues. A section of advice is included, but some obviously helpful phone numbers and organizations are not included and no Web sites are listed. Amphetamines has some repetition, particularly in discussing users' tolerance for drugs and their psychological dependence. A helpful chart compares the use of various drugs, including amphetamines, by 8th and 12th graders in 1991 and 1999. Similar ground is covered in Jay Schleifer's Methamphetamine (Rosen, 1999). Cocaine describes the history of its use by musicians in the '20s, then again in the '50s, and by rock musicians in the '70s. The difference between crack and cocaine is clearly explained. Linda Bayer's Crack & Cocaine (Chelsea, 1999) goes into more detail about how cocaine affects the brain and body. In Steroids, there is some repetition when discussing related health risks. Scott E. Lukas's Steroids (Enslow, 1994) features more in-depth information and an interview with a former steroid abuser. Many books address the same subjects in more depth and almost as attractively. Purchase Connolly's books only if you need more titles about the topics for general use and report writing.

9. Legal Muscle by Rick Collin

the thought of doing a steroid cycle has ever even crossed your mind…
LEGAL MUSCLE by Rick Collins, J.D., sets the new "gold standard" for sports drug reference manuals. It is the ultimate resource, covering all aspects of non-medical anabolic steroid use under American law. It's essential reading for natural and "juiced" athletes alike, and for coaches, sports trainers, physicians, journalists and anyone in the criminal justice system. Bill Llewellyn, author of ANABOLICS 2002, says, "Rick's unparalleled experience and countless hours of research are crammed into this book! A MUST-HAVE!" LEGAL MUSCLE is the never-before-told truth!

"LEGAL MUSCLE is awesome! It's not just the 'hardcore' guide to the law -- it's the hardcore guide to LIFE!" -- Dave Palumbo, competitive world-class bodybuilder

You'll read the true details of recent anabolic steroid investigations, arrests and prosecutions from all across America.

You'll learn about mail deliveries and seizure notices, police interrogations and searches. You'll learn all about your Constitutional protections, and learn the secret why the overwhelming majority of suspects (84% in a 1994 survey) fail to invoke them -- a potentially devastating mistake! And not just "in the abstract," but with detailed accounts of case after case culled from Rick's own extensive steroid files. You'll read how anabolics relate to the Internet, to border searches, to teenagers, to prohormones, to physicians, to positive doping cases, to police informers and undercover agents, and to the criminal courts. It's all in here, real world stories about everything from simple personal possession to major trafficking. You'll learn in detail how anabolics work, what the medical literature really says about them, and how the media have presented "less than the truth." You'll come to understand how steroids came to be controlled substances and how they are treated today under federal statutes and sentencing guidelines (including the first-ever reference table to apply steroid quantities to the federal guidelines). What does the future hold? What you read may SHOCK you!

"Rick’s unparalleled experience and countless hours of research are crammed into this book! A MUST HAVE!" -- Bill Llewellyn, author of Anabolics 2000 and Anabolics 2002

"If you are a steroid user, or are considering using steroids, then stop what you are doing and get this book right away. Rick Collins is the Johnnie Cochran of steroids!" -- Patrick Arnold, bodybuilding chemistry expert

LEGAL MUSCLE even covers the anabolic laws and sentencing ranges of all fifty states and the District of Columbia – a veritable treasure trove never before available anywhere – not even to lawyers!!!

LEGAL MUSCLE bridges the gap between the legal community and the muscle world, providing essential information to criminal lawyers faced with defending steroid charges (including a special Lawyer's Glossary of steroid terms). No lawyer should take a steroid case without this book!

"It's never easy to challenge ignorance and bias, [but] LEGAL MUSCLE does just that, presenting clear, cogent and research-based arguments to debunk many of the myths... [A] reality check for all who value their freedom and are placing it at risk. Rick Collins' expertise on both sides of this equation, the bodybuilding culture and the halls of justice, makes this book a must-read!" -- Jack Darkes, Ph.D., clinical psychologist and psychological researcher

Over four hundred hours of Rick's valuable time went into the research and writing of this remarkable and unprecedented book! Now it's yours for a tiny fraction of that cost, to refer to again and again!

10. Built to Survive by Michael Mooney and Nelson Vergel

After six years of research and clinical work with the medical use of anabolic steroids and growth hormone...
...Michael Mooney and Nelson Vergel have published their book, "Built to Survive: A Comprehensive Guide to the Medical Use of Anabolic Steroids, Nutrition and Exercise for HIV(+) Men and Women."

The book has received high acclaim on the streets from bodybuilders for its accurate, thoroughly referenced details on the use of anabolic steroids, cycling and reducing side effect. It has also received recommendations from institutes of higher education, like the University of Illinois book review, where they said, "It is a book for the individual but also a highly recommended book for all medical, academic, and public libraries."

Michael and Nelson donate all profits from the sales of the book to help fund the Body Positive Wellness Center, a non-profit research and education center for people with HIV in Houston where studies are being conducted on the medical use of anabolic steroids. Over time these studies may help change public opinion so that the steroids laws can eventually be changed.

Editorial Reviews
H. Robert Malinowsky, Editor
AIDS Book Review Journal
University of Illinois at Chicago
Number 60-December, 2000

"This book reflects an encouraging public trend towards the assumption of personal responsibility for treating HIV disease. It urges the patient to take an active role in treating his or her condition, in combination with traditional medical treatment." This book presents an approach to reverse and prevent the critical loss of lean body mass called wasting and discusses lipodystrophy, the unusual redistribution of bodyfat that is being seen in many people who are taking HIV medication. It covers nutrition, supplementation, resistance exercise, androgenic-anabolic steroids, growth hormone, and other therapies.

This is an excellent book full of good sound advice that individuals can follow to help decrease some of the side effects of HIV/AIDS. It is a book for the individual but also a highly recommended book for all medical, academic, and public libraries. Since some the recommendations may not be fully recommended by physicians, it is always wise to consult with your physician and explain what you may be doing so that he understands what is being done. Since this is an area that needs more research, many clinics are beginning to set up trials to test some of these treatments. The main thing to consider is that there may be some side effects that may threaten your overall health.

Dr. Patricia Salvato - Houston, TX

The authors effectively detail how to use nutrition, anabolic hormones and exercise in combination to imporve lean body mass and overall health in HIV. This book is a great guide for patients and physicians who want to learn more about these therapies.

Dr. Shannon Schrader - Houston, TX

Nelson and Michael have shown great courage and commitment to follow through after 6 years of hard work to publish this book. Hopefully, for those who read and learn and grow from this book, their example will influence these people not to give up and to fight for life
